Guidelines for new addresses:
Must own property or have the property owner’s permission
Must build a structure within one year of new address or the address will expire.
RV spots will be assigned a temporary address that expires in one year.
No address will be assigned for vacant land, water meters, well houses, power poles, or anywhere someone does not work or reside. Addressing to subdivisions is acceptable with an approved final plot on file with the addressing office. If land parcels have been split up recently, the registered plat will need to be presented. If land is recently purchased, deed will need to be presented. If land is recently purchased, deed will need to be presented. Must know location of new/existing driveway. Proof of driveway location may be required. If an address is assigned and no structure is on the property, the address does not transfer to the new owner.
